St. Mark's Square, Venice

The design of the church was inspired by the Church of the Holy Apostles in Constantinople, now Istanbul, in Turkey. The construction of the current church was begun around 1063. The bell tower was built between 1156 and 1173. It collapsed on July 14, 1902, and was rebuilt in 1912.
